- BGC Dovercourt is a not-for-profit organization that provides after school, summer and March break programs for over 1,000 children and youth at two locations in Toronto’s west end. The mission of the Club is to provide a safe, supportive place where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop confidence and skills for life.
Role Description
Reports to: Executive Director
Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilities
As the Accounts Receivables Assistant you will:
- Support the Operations Manager with efficient implementation of data management and timely input of data
- Coordinate logistic and program details with the Executive Director and Operations Manager
- Responsible for leading the administrative team in deliver high quality customer service, processing financial transactions and overseeing accounts receivables
- Assist with the coordination of administrative duties include: data entry, invoice processing and daily communication with front desk, staff, parents and participants
- Plan, organize and assist in the creation, revision and implementation of programs
- Analyze operating practices, record-keeping systems, and forms control requirements to assist in the creation, revision and implementation of changes to systems and procedures as necessary
- Resolve problems, prepare reports, analyze data and assist with the identification and implementation of solutions. Assist with the scheduling and chairing meetings with Management to report on program progress, as needed.
- Perform additional daily duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of postsecondary education in Accounting, Business Administration or related filed.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred. Related work experience may be substituted for education
- At least 2 years demonstrated experience providing administrative support to executive
- management staff or office management experience. Non-profit experience a plus
- Knowledge of best practices in required fields, such as finance, data management, accounting and
- the not for profit sector
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and online accounting software
- (QuickBooks)
- Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical and decision-making skills.
- Ability to multitask and efficiently perform administrative duties while managing shifting priorities
- and deadlines
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with tact and discretion
